After one treatment, patient very satisfied with result and has had multiple treatments elsewhere for permanent fat reduction. 41 year old female with extra lower abdominal fat that was troublesome and would not go away with dieting and exercise. Please note that none of these pictures have been touched up and you are seeing them as is. Each CoolSculpting session is meant to eliminate up to approximately 20% of the fat cells per are treated. These are permanently destroyed and not intended to return. The most noticeable change after the treatment, is in my lower inner thighs, as my legs look more contoured and the pockets of fat that were localized in this area has been minimized (aka, a less lumpy appearance).
With the hyperpigmentation, it lasted over 16 weeks. In the very rare instance that this occurs, it tends to resolve spontaneously. Redness, hyperpigmentation, and swelling were reported in clinical studies. Most of the time, however, our patients do not experience any side effects at all. In very rare cases, some pain may be felt during and after treatment which can be alleviated with pain medication. When does CoolSculpting pain stop? It should go away with pain medication. One case of frostbite has also been reported, but it went away without problem. Complications are extremely rare.

Once the treatment was discontinued, these side effects went away without medical intervention after about 4 weeks. Some pain, numbness, and nausea have been reported by patients. Hyperpigmentation (darkening of the treated area), numbness, pain and mild contour irregularity have been reported.
