Does Coolsculpting Really Work For Excess Fat?

coolsculpting does it workYou would not want to be traumatized when you realize that the results are not what you thought they would be. So, in an attempt to understand the question does coolsculpting really work, we need to look at coolsculpting from the basic concept, of what it is. What really is coolsculpting?

Having had so messages on Instagram with questions about Coolsculpting, I thought the best thing was to sit down and make a video to answer those questions. This video addresses what Coolsculpting is, what is feels like, how to find out if it’s for you, and most importantly, if and how it works.

Your body then works to remove the dead fat cells, creating a slimmer silhouette. How dramatic your results are and how long it takes for them to be visible depends on a few different factors. While some people might notice a difference after just one treatment session, many need two or more to see a noticeable change in the size of their waistline or in the circumference of their thighs. The treatment can remove up to 25 percent of fat cells from an area, but it can often take multiple sessions to get that result.

Like many other moms out there, I am in a constant struggle to get my pre-pregnancy figure back, or at least some resemblance of it back. During pregnancy, my petite frame of 4’11” gained a whopping 18kgs (39lbs) for Zayden and then 22.5kgs (50lbs) for Xavion. Now 7 years later, I have lost the actual weight on the scale, but am still left with pockets of fat all over my upper legs and thighs.

As the fat cells freeze, they go through a process called apoptosis, or cell death, and then are naturally eliminated from the body over a period of a few months. When you gain weight the fat cells in your body get larger, and when you lose weight, the fat cells shrink. Instead of shrinking the fat cells, CoolSculpting is effective at removing the fat cells from the body altogether, resulting in a 20% - 25% fat reduction in the treated area. Dr. Paul Nassif explains the treatment-to-transformation process as the patient’s optimal end result.

It is available on the manufacturer official website. The cooling technology used is safe and achieves its desired results. The manufacturer claims that the procedures work well and helps the user to eliminate the fats in the body. They also claim that this procedure is safe for the user and is non-surgical.

How Many Areas Can I Treat with CoolSculpting? CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared in the US for 9 areas: abdomen, flanks, submental area, the submandibular area (below the jawline), bra fat, back fat, inner and outer thighs, upper arms and underneath the buttocks. Treatments to different areas can even be performed in the same day.

First here is the skinny on how it works. Many of us have fatty areas that resist diet and exercise. For example, back fat, after baby belly bulge and thunder thighs to name a few. Coolsculpting uses controlled cooling to target and crystalize fat cells. After the treatment these fat cells are gradually removed by the immune system.

This inspired the CoolSculpting technology, and the rest is history. The CoolSculpting machine is applied to the areas where fat reduction is desired. A specific temperature is set for a specific time, while you kick back and relax. The machine does its work, killing the fat which gets sloughed off through the body’s natural systems. This revolutionary technology allows Dr. Jensen to sculpt and contour unwanted fat stores more precisely than ever. Those double chins, love handles, inner thighs, jiggly belly and flabby arms can be sculpted to perfection. It’s safe, it’s easy and it doesn’t require anesthesia.

You may feel intense cold initially, however this feeling usually subsides within 5 to 10 minutes as the area numbs. Most applicators use a vacuum to draw fatty tissue into the applicator cup, therefore you may also feel some pulling, tugging, and/or mild pinching. After you and your certified Coolsculpting technician select the area(s) to be treated, the device is positioned on your body and controlled cooling is applied.
